All praise is to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. We ask for His forgiveness, seek His assistance, and ask Him for guidance. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil that is in ourselves, and from the evil of our actions. Whomever Allah guides, none can send astray, and whomever Allah sends astray, none can guide. We testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone and without partner. And, we testify that Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) is His slave and messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, his family, his companions and the rightly guided predecessors until the Last Day. Ameen.

Obligation of Following the Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) and know that every Innovation is Misguidance

The Forbidden Innovations are those in the Religion and not those in Worldly Affairs. As for innovations and inventions of the World, such as advancements in technology, or the invention of cars, aeroplanes, microphones, the internet etc., then these are not referred to as bid’ah because they are not connected to a person’s religion. Technology is not forbidden, rather it is permitted and even encouraged (as long as there is no conflict with the Religion). Rather what is forbidden is that a person introduces an act of worship or a belief or statement for which there is no proof from the Book and the Sunnah.

Those who backbite their Salafi brothers who have some shortcomings | Shaykh 'Abdullah al-Bukhārī

A brother asks and says, "Some of the youth, when they find that a brother has some shortcomings in some acts of worship, in the seeking of knowledge and the likes, they start speaking about his shortcomings in their gatherings. Their justification (for doing so) is that he has already been advised regarding this but he didn't rectify himself. Does this make it permissible for them to speak about him in their gatherings? And what is your advice to this kind of people?"
